Have you ever been surprised by someone’s reaction to what you said? Has someone ever given you feedback that comes from left field and you didn’t know what they were talking about? How you communicate impacts not only your effectiveness in the workplace but your peers’ impression of your professionalism. But do you know who you are in the workplace? What is the value that you bring to the organization? What do you want people to understand about you and what you have to offer? In this workshop you will develop your unique voice and how to apply your unique voice in better representing yourself and constructing more effective messages. In this interactive workshop you will create a draft of your personal value statement and use that as a vehicle for improving your listening skills, identifying appropriate body language and tone and constructing more effective workplace communications.

Learning Objectives:

• Improve your listening skills
• Identify appropriate body language and tone to convey your messages
• Develop your unique voice
• Construct more effective workplace communications

Format: Lecture, experiential activities and group discussion.
